Fundraising’s Next Frontier: Meet Our Third Cohort of Innovation Partners

Sara Montgomery

This past week marked another major step forward for Autonomous Fundraising as Version2 officially welcomed our third cohort of nonprofit innovation partners.

These 13 pioneering organizations are joining the movement to redefine fundraising capacity with trusted digital labor by leveraging the Virtual Engagement Officer (VEO) to expand donor engagement, increase philanthropic impact, and accelerate philanthropy as a whole.

With this cohort, the VEO ventures into new territory. This third cohort expands Autonomous Fundraising to global organizations, demonstrating that trusted digital labor will drive meaningful donor engagement around the world. We also welcome our first-ever community college partner, proving that autonomous fundraisers fill the labor shortage for both large organizations and those of all sizes.

Please join us in welcoming the newest cohort of Version2 Innovation Partners, a group that represents fundraising’s most of forward-thinking leadership committed to expanding donor engagement and shaping the future of fundraising with autonomous technology:

Version2.ai Cohort 3

With this new cohort, a total of 43 organizations are now collaborating to advance autonomous fundraising, with the VEO actively operating across higher education, independent schools, healthcare, animal welfare, humanitarian relief, and faith-based organizations. Together, these partners are driving innovation, refining best practices, and proving that AI-powered fundraising can expand donor engagement and philanthropic capacity at scale.

Each cohort builds on the momentum of the last. Our first cohort proved Autonomous Fundraising was possible. Our second cohort refined use cases and applications. Now, our third cohort is accelerating these breakthroughs, expanding into new types of donor portfolios, and setting new benchmarks for AI-driven engagement.

We’re just getting started. As more organizations build out their 3-5 year digital labor plans, it’s clear that autonomous fundraisers like the VEO and our recently launched Virtual Stewardship Officer (VSO) aren’t just the future of fundraising—they’re transforming donor engagement right now.

If your organization is ready to scale donor relationships with trusted digital labor, let’s connect.
